About extracted text size

The system populates the Extracted Text Size field while processing, which displays the size of the extracted text in bytes. The system recalculates this value when performing one of the following actions:

• Reprocess the documents in Inspect. Refer to Reprocess documents for more information.

• Replace or delete the extracted text in Inspect or Review. Refer to Modify Extracted or OCR Text for more information.

• OCR the document in Inspect or Review using a Text Destination of Extracted Text. Refer to Run OCR on documents for more information.

The Extracted Text Size field displays “NULL” for the following documents:

• Processed documents that have the following Document State values.

  • Excluded Archive

  • Excluded Extension

  • NIST File

• Processed documents that have the following exception values:

  • Empty File

  • Corrupted File

  • Virus Infected File

  • File Not Copied

  • Unable to Parse File

The Extracted Text Size field displays “0” for the following documents:

• Processed documents for which extracted text is not populated.

• Processed documents that have the following exception values:

  • Unsupported File

  • Encrypted File
